Why Mission Control Math?
A teacher friend of mine kept telling me her 3rd grade students thought math was boring and couldn't see how it applied to the real world. Sound familiar? I wanted to change that. The idea was simple: wrap the math concepts around a story compelling enough that kids actually want to do the work.
What makes these workbooks different?
Most supplemental math workbooks are just page after page of problems. Mission Control Math builds every concept into an unfolding space adventure. Kids aren't just practicing addition and regrouping — they're on a mission. The stakes are real (at least to a 3rd grader), and the math is the only way to complete it.
